3. IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria 2025
A. Educational Qualification
As detailed in the vacancy table above. The qualification is post-specific.
B. Age Limit (as on 1st July 2025)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age Relaxation is applicable as per Government rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwD (General): 10 years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years
- PwD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
4. IBPS SO Application Fee 2025
The application fee was to be paid online only through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or IMPS.

5. IBPS SO Selection Process 2025
The selection process for IBPS Specialist Officer consists of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: This is an online objective screening test. Candidates must qualify in this exam to be shortlisted for the next stage.
- Main Examination: This is also an online objective test but is more comprehensive and professional knowledge-oriented. Qualifying in the mains is necessary to be called for the interview.
- Interview: Candidates who clear the Main Examination will be called for an interview conducted by the participating banks.
The final selection will be based on the combined scores obtained in the Main Examination and the Interview.
